The Money Tree
What did I use to create this drawing and how can you do the same?
This drawing was made using the Procreate app on my iPad and the Apple pencil; using brushes created by a graphic designer called Teela Cunningham whose class I followed on SkillShare.com.
If you would like to try drawing this image or similar, the resources to recreate this can be found below:
10 Step Drawing: Flowers by Mary Woodin - You can purchase this drawing guide at Waterstones or on Amazon.
Procreate brushes - Graphic designer, Teela Cunningham, gives out some free Procreate brushes on her website. If you want to download the brushes I used to create this work, you have to sign up for a free trial of SkillShare and take her ‘Intro to Watercolour Florals in Procreate’ class, where she provides the link to the brushes.
Where I’m at with drawing?
Apart from the sporadic abstract watercolour art I created as a child during the summer holidays (which only my father ever really appreciated), I am fairly new to drawing. I’m hoping to see some improvement in my drawing skills over the coming weeks and months, as I intend to create at least one piece of work to upload every week on this website. So, by all means, join me on my amateur journey to better drawing skills. I think just about any skill can be improved with some practise, so, we shall see.
