The Sketchbook Diaries: Drawings from 02nd-7th October 2022

A little park along a main road in Nottingham had groups of colourful flowers, one of which became the subject of my first sketchbook drawing (on 02/10/2022).

The “PlantNet” app on my phone identified these red flowers as being from a family of plants called Helenium autumnal L.

All the other drawings this week were flowers drawn from life. I bought a small bunch of flowers from Aldi at the beginning of the week, and have been drawing them every day since.
