The Sketchbook Diaries: Art from 9th - 13th September 2022

This week’s drawings were inspired by photos taken from a serendipitous discovery of a garden called the King George V Memorial Walk along the Hayle estuary in Cornwall. I took several reference photos of flowers and will most likely be drawing them for several months!

These drawings made me see the merits of being able to use light and shadow to create form. So I want to learn more about this topic and see if I am able to incorporate what I learn into my drawings.
